I think Larry Youngren gave a presentation at COMMON about this. Something
about High Availability on a shoestring. He's kind of a high priest on
journalling. Perhaps you can find one of his handouts. That presentation
is not on the fall lineup.
I know that Jeff Crosby of Dilgard just does local journalling and changes
his receivers on the hour, saves them to a save file and ftp's them over
to another server. So at least he has up to the hour data. So what if
the other server is a PC. Once he gets his replacement hardware in, he's
covered.
We are using the full Mimix solution. And our Domino is clustered on
multiple servers running on IBM i.
