Hi, Rob:

I understand the desire to run an occasional RCLSTG in each "guest" (BIM i hosted) IBM i LPAR -- but why would you ever need to do this on the hosting IBM i partition?

If you do not run any other "workloads" on the host IBM i partition, whose sole purpose is to host other IBM i guests, a RCLSTG should almost never be required on the host itself ...

PWRCTL(*YES) and they're running their full system save. If I use
FORCE(*YES) on the vary off I am under the impression that will be quite
disruptive.
