I agree re instant gratification Richard - but while the initial deployment on Win or Linux servers may have that I can't agree that growth is that easy. At PHP conferences the thing that the developers are always interested in is the notion that relative to their situation we almost ignore issues of scaling. With Windows particularly you don't have to grow very much before load balancing and other issues raise their ugly head and require a lot of additional work in the programming.
