Re: AFP promotion using Aldon LMi

So if I understand it correctly, source is in a PF, maybe multi-member.

When you add a PF to Aldon, there is a "Data Option" field (half way down the screen), where one of the options is 2=Promote data. You might want to investigate the help on that one, just in case it may be a solution.

If you think it might work, after you promote make sure you do a check out to see if the data still exists in the checked out object.

I have no experience with AFP source files and we don't have the product on our box.

Surely someone must have a workaround as this is one of the popular s/w lifecycle managers on the iseries and AFP is also popular.

Any suggestions on how to promote *OVL source with the *OVL object using Aldon LMi?

The problem seems to be that IBM stores the source in a data file instead of a source file like RPG and CL.
