You should almost always use a mail relay. If not, you'll run into issues
like this, and even recipients outside of your network that won't accept
emails because there is no reverse DNS entry.

As far as this particular issue, it is most likely something similar to
that. You could contact your email admin to see if the "see" the
communications coming through and any errors in the log as to why it's
being rejected, but IMHO you should change your system/command to use a
mail router... most likely the one in use by your company.
