Thanks for the info. I haven't had the front cover off when it's
powered on; will there be a way to see what disk has failed? Or is it
just trial & error?

it stopped dead.
You definitely need the console hooked up no matter what the issue is
but in this case I doubt you'll see anything there although it is
possible that if the load source disk is good but another unit has
failed that you would see an error on the screen because in this case
the LIC would have loaded before the system halted. Without a console it
tries to IPL and no matter how few disks have failed the 675A has no
raid so......

activity, and the attention light on. I believe this code relates to a
disk failure; but I'm curious; if no O/S is found, will it display the
same code? Will the system battery being dead cause IPL issues?
