Sounds like the security for the id that your using isn't setup to take
over a console. Are you using QCONSOLE or some other one that you might
have setup.

Unfortunately this is a JS-12 blade that only has a "Remote Control
Panel" which is a virtual representation of what a physical panel would
look like. BUT, the Ops Console (LAN Connected) will not display the
remote control panel for some reason hence I cannot change the settings
(or I would)!

Might have to do an "ugly bounce" on this one......

Functions
25, 26, 65 and 21

Subject says it all. IBM i 6.1. I varied off the Ethernet line to make
some configuration changes and intended to connect using the Operations
console (should have done it the other way around I guess). Ops console
prompted me for Service tools user ID and password and console only
displays a screen with the following highlighted at the bottom:

Console recovery / take over is currently turned off.

Remote Control Panel does not display so I am not exactly sure how to
proceed. I could force an IPL the hard way but if there is a graceful
way to recover, I'd love to hear it.
