The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Good point. We use SecureZip and it is such a plug and play solution we
very much endorse it!

Do you need to decrypt them as they're accessed or are they archived?
Would a secure zip option work?

I have a need to encrypt files stored on our iSeries at V6R1. Actually
they are on a NAS server that does not support native encryption. The
iSeries uses a NFS mount over the NFS share. Only the iSeries writes
files to the NAS. The files are mostly tiff and jpeg images but other
file types will also need to be encrypted in the future. We will have to
change the way we retrieve the files for display on the PC's as we
currently send a UNC path to the SMB share of the NAS. That can be
changed to the SMB share (Netserver) on the iSeries. I am currently
researching Alliance AES encryption and Linoma Crypto Complete solutions.
What else is out there and how hard is it to roll your own?
