You guys need to go visit a construction site some time. Your grid would
need the capability for a guy to report time to 5 or 6 different cost codes
in a single day, an possibly representing an equal number of pay rates.

This is why there are very few construction software packages out there. The
best ones are designed by industry veterans.

Even Oracle tried and failed to produce a cost accounting module for their
package.

Key each time card, one at a time? That sounds like a pain. You should take
a look at the quick-paced promotional video giving an overview of our Grade
Book for teachers. If you don't have 7 minutes, jump to the grades
worksheet, about 5 minutes in.

Each cell in a grid like that could represent the intersection of a worker,
and a day, of a time card period. Significantly faster than 5250, no?
