Sounds like an opportunity for a requirement somewhere!

Maybe an RFE - naw, this is database, not languages, right?

Well I had tried CHGPF but not ALTER - but I have now. No joy.

Silly thing is it retrieves the details of the column and populates the prompt correctly but then after the command has been completely built it says it can't do it because it is not a database file.

Why on earth CHGSRCPF doesn't support it is a mystery to me. Seems to be on e of the things I would most _want_ to change.
