Cyndi,

I've used Canon iRxxxx in a large multi-site org (prob 40-50 printers) and they worked fine. Did create a wscst (workstation customize object) that was added to the device description, but only needed it to override the margins. I can't remember if pjl or snmp chosen.
Note in the IBM doc, if mfrtypmdl has more than 1 entry, I believe they are in order of preference.
The *LEXOPTRAT is common to many of these and works well.
Make sure to update system with the tcp printing ptf group.

Subject: Multi-Function Printers/Copiers

Morning everyone. At some time today, I will have a new copier/printer to integrate into our system.

In the past, we have had Ricoh copiers. On the iSeries, we have created outq's with remote writers. Not the best option, no control.

I would like to have more control (page control especially) on these new ones. We will be getting one Canon iRc 8105; 5 Canon iR 6065's; and an unknown number of Canon iR4045's. We are currently on V6, but going to V7 in a few months.

Recently there was a discussion of how to do this, could someone send me a link ? I'm not putting together search arguments very well today.

Thanks to all.
