Let me say straight away i am Technical Director for Halcyonsoftware
but i am a techy not sales person so
i am posting in a technical

We (halcyonsoftware.com) have a product the Inactivity Manager that
allows you to specify periods of inactivity at a very specific ,
selective manner
if you wish to enable you to take a different action or number of
actions for
different scenarios - Here is one , i want to ensure that my Finance
team do
not leave their screens unattended for longer than 3 minutes BUT i
want to
disconnect their job
so the applications they are running are not affected , our product allows
you to
do this. If however you wanted the same Finance team to NOT be affected
at all
if they are working at a weekend, you can configure it to do that as well.

We actually allow you to define a job being in a status or statues for an
amount of
time and then automatically and consistently perform an action or number
of actions

This means you can apply it to batch jobs as well, SO if you had a job that
goes into
lock wait but by the time you get to it it is okay again you could get
Halcyons product
to automatically HOLD the job once it is lock wait, email, sms or send you
or the
developers an alert so you can check it out

Okay enough of that , if you want to know more just ask BUT i am also
lucky enough to
have at my disposal a large team of IBMi, AIX, Windows developers
and techies so if you
have any questions we can help with we may be able to help and
love a challenge so ask
away
