InfoPrint Designer and Windows 7

Has anyone gotten InfoPrint Designer pc client to run on Win 7?
The install instructions are many years old, and so far the pc install fails
(another tech trying).

Has anyone found a replacement product (that does not insert some win server
into the processing mix). We are using InfoPrint Designer to maintain hundreds
of forms, not using InfoPrint Server, and need to not have to re-invent it all.
The requirement to keep the forms printing on the system is that it is all tied
into an i-based archive & imaging process.
