I am assuming that the requirement for a blank line means an *INTERACTIVE or
*IPGM execution.

If the blank line was absolutely necessary, I would cheat and use a display
file in the CPP. That would put the user interface firmly under my control.
I know it would not be quite the same thing as a real command, but you can
get quite close to the look-and-feel without too much effort.
