Hi All,
One of our assembly divisions recently acquired a Mitsubishi PLC module that they would like to connect to our AS400. They sent me the manual and it is an absolute nightmare to try and understand how the two systems are supposed to communicate. There's a lot of talk on triggers, local transports, etc., etc. It looks like a really powerful system, but I am having a very hard time interpreting what needs to be done from the manual.
The model number of the interface they purchased is QJ71MES96IT. They also purchased the transport/database module part number MESITTRNSDB2 to compliment the MES IT interface.
So my question is (and yes, it is a very broad question as I really do not have a starting point) - how do I get the data from the PLC into an AS400 table? Does anyone have any experience with this module that can help me understand how this is accomplished?
Any ideas, or resources I might be able to access to help me understand?
Thankee-sai!
/b;
