Appreciate your suggestion.
A process external to the IBM i, and downstream from it, creates the pdf
documents.
I posted a new thread under a new subject heading also.

So you want some value in the .PDF? PDF are combination of text and
binary. Nothing about them is relational. Could you build a say SQL
Server database and store what you need in that database?
