Because you have a save at a point in time, you restore to that point and have Mimix restore any and all changes from the last save. Does not matter if you are in sync as in a real DR, you switch over to your backup machine and start making changes there. You will have problems on that machine. In a real DR, you most likely are not going to be 100% in sync. There is some delay in getting the journal entries over to the DR system. A system never crashes during a quiet moment. :(
Deal with it at DR time or fix your application(s) to use commit boundaries and control. Pay now or at the worst time, in the middle of a fail over. (Which hopefully will never happen. Your or the management team do like to gamble?)
