Please stop using the emulator version in Personal Communications to try
to determine which version of System i Access for Windows you are on. IOW,
don't do Help, About while in PC 5250 to try to determine which version of
System i Access for Windows you are running. Who's to say that IBM may
unbundle that in the future and start shipping a different version of
Personal Communications with some service pack? Disclaimer: I am not
forecasting such nor have I any inside information on such a scheme. I am
just saying it is more accurate to go into Start, Programs, IBM i Access
for Windows, IBM i Access for Windows Properties. That gives you directly
whether you are running 6.1, 7.1 or whatever. It also gives you a service
pack number you can tie into:
