ArdGate was: For Christmas, I want

I'm not an expert in Christmas...

about some technical aspects of the discussion:

- DRDA is a protocoll, running on the server (the machine, you want to access from AS/400)
- ArdGate could run on the AS/400 and so it doesn't use DRDA
- ArdGate uses the "Client integration Exit" of DB2/400, so it has some limitations
- with ArdGate you could use all normal SQL interfaces of AS/400 (STRSQL, QMQRY, embedded SQL, RUNSQLSTM)
- ArdGate is up and running in two hours (with a little Java experience) and afterwards you don't need any Java knowledge
- ArdGAte is tested with: MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Firebird and redirect to DB2/400
- ArdGate is a generalized, consolidated Version of specialized heterogenous data access programms, running in several German companies, developed in the last years
- ArdGate is Open Source and available at SourceForge (ArdGate has > 1000 downloads from USA, Germany, Italy and a lot of other countries)
- ArdGate is work in progress and enhanced primary for my own needs and the needs of my custumors
- ArdGate is mainly written in Java and is very scalabal because it runs in one prestarted JVM, serving multiple Jobs with multiple Connections in a Multithreaded environment
- Bugfixes and (limited) support is available as my time allows this
- Premium support for installation and programming is available (commercial)
- For Christmas, I want: Assistance in programming, writing manuals and examples or sponsoring is welcome
