What version of the OS do you have? With 7.1 you can install the OS from
an NFS mount, however I think your NFS source has to be another i. :-(

With that being the case I would probably still make my full system saves
be to physical tape, or to at least DUPTAP to physical media.

Personally, I've not done a whole lot of NFS mounting.
