How about checking the iSeries Navigator？

User connections --> Network --> Server --> TCP/IP --> iSeriesNetServer
--> Properties

Did you set "ServerName" ?


I can ping the system using the name, and I can telnet/ftp to it using
that
same name, but when I try to browse the shared folders in the IFS, I get
a
windows error, "\\system is not accessible. You might not have permission
to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to
find out if you have access permissions. The user name could not be
found."
