Re: msgSQL0518 in ODBC after IBM i 7.1 Upgrade

We saw a similar error with our TN5250e WinTronix IP Client file transfer client which uses DRDA.

As best we can tell IBM rewrote some of their server side software in V7R1 and the way the prepare statements were processed seemed to have changed.

We made the appropriate changes in our WinTronix IP Client and are now good to go on V7R1.

Maybe this is the same situation you are experiencing.

all seemed to be for earlier releases of the operating system.

The PC that I use does not exhibit this problem, but I'm running Windows
XP, so that might be the difference.
