The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I have a client who wants to upgrade their 270 to V5R4 (V5R3 now), but only has 8GB drives in the server now.
So we will have to replace the 8GB drives with 17GB drives.
There are five (5) 6717 it the server now in a single RAID-5 set.
I'm looking for suggestions from the hardware gurus on the list for the best approach to doing such a project.
My initial thought was to do a full system save, pull all the old drive and replacement then, rebuild the RAID set, and then do a complete system reload.
Then I would do the V5R4 upgrade. Seems like a lot of work.
Thanks, Scott
