Luis,

Right clicking the SMTP server and selecting "properties" from the drop
down doesn't work. That is, nothing happens. I tried this numerous
times. Selecting "server jobs" does work. That said, I've got thousands
of entries in the QZMF journal so I think this indicates journaling is
active anyway.

I did do a DSPJRN JRN(QZMF) RCVRNG(*CURCHAIN) FROMTIME(100111)
OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILFMT(*TYPE5) OUTFILE(BRYANB/ZMFSTUFF2)
OUTMBR(MAR2) ENTDTALEN(512) and just discovered that my query of the
outfile, which was sub-stringing the entry specific data, was causing
the two char subtypes not to show up.

Thanks a ton for your help and the links.

Bryan

Bryan,

Mmm. Something I forgot to mention is that you must have active the
journaling of your SMTP server. You can check it using iNav:
(loose translation):
Network--> Servers --> TCP/IP
right-click on SMTP --> Properties. In the first tab (General) there is
a
box for enabling/disabling the journaling.

You can find the code in the Journal entry data. An example of a just
sent
email:

QTSMTPCLTPQTCP 793121QZMFXLOG8ID 6aaaaaa11101
91314480000000006 *88* DLVED xxx.xxx.xx.x'

'88' means it was delivered.

Remember that you can use an outfile as an output for the DSPJRN CMD.

I don't see any subtypes in my DSPJRN outfile. How do I get them
there?
I believe I'm missing a concept here...
