I have seen issues with undelieverable emails via snads type errors in
qsysopr message queue. Does anyone know if API's would route and thus
record different journal entries or if it is snads is it all the same. How
is your app sending the email, snads or API.

There are a lot of subtypes under the LG entry code in the QMZF journal.
Some of the more interesting are:
96 - Log entry of MAIL into QTMSOUTQ (relayed mail)
88 - Log each successfully send to recipient

Search for a small PDF under the name of "E-mail" in the infocenter
related
yo your OS version. It has a nice overview of e-mail config and a list
of
some of the more used entry codes for the QMZF journal.

A full list can be found under in the Infocenter under the name of "Mail
server journal entries" (at least for V5R4)

Does the fact that a QZMF journal entry exists, and it's not an entry
type ER (error), and the timestamp is much earlier than the delivery

the client, rule out the system i?? If not, what is the next "hop",

you will, after the MSF indicates something has been sent?
