I wouldn't classify the queries as simple, technically, but in fact the data files (and there are many) are externally-defined and useable. Depending upon what you are after, the complexity can vary wildly. Using (from memory; I think it's) QAPMJOB, you can get good CPU utilization information, for example. But if you want to tie that in to other factors (say, disk utilization) the data is there but the correlation can be tricky.

I think I had an issue with timestamp of data (data not pulled at the same moment, of course), but that just comes back to complexity.
