I have a Power5 9406-550 with eight partitions. We are about to move it from a room with a UPS+Generator to a room with UPS only. So now I have to implement a UPS monitoring program. If I specify a message queue for system value QUPSMSGQ on all eight partitions, will those eight message queues all get UPS messages? Is it the FSP that sends the messages? I believe I'll have to power down all eight partitions and then actually unplug the 9406-550 in order for the UPS system values to be recognized. Is that right? Many thanks!
