I totally agree. I can understand that either the language spec or
the language implementers consider the complete function signature to
be what uniquely identifies a function (in other words, myfunc(char,
char, dec) is a *different function* than myfunc(char, char, char),
not merely the same function with different parameters), but c'mon, we
are human beings. It is definitely possible to detect this kind of
mismatch and give a more meaningful and helpful error message.
