Jack,

You never say what OS you are running. Are you running 6.1, 6.1.1, 7.1?
No level of cumes or group ptf's are going to upgrade you from 6.1 to
6.1.1.
6.1 will not work on Power 7 processors. 6.1.1 will.
https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ssm1platformibmi
If you do a DSPPTF 5761999 what do you have for "Release of base option"?
V6R1M0 will not work on Power 7 hardware. You should get the latest
respin of 6.1.1. Upgrade to that. Reinstall the latest cume and all
groups and any individual ptf's you may have.

Note: 6.1.1 will only affect 5761999, not 5761SS1 that will still say
V6R1M0.

To upgrade to 6.1.1 see the following:
"Replacing Licensed Internal Code and i5/OS of the same version and
release"
at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v6r1m0/topic/rzahc/upgradesameversion.htm
"Use this procedure to install a new modification of Licensed Internal
Code and a more recent update (resave) of the i5/OS operating system to
support new hardware. "

When you order the respin, make sure that you get the respin for 6.1.1 and
not for 6.1. There is NO reason, none, to use 6.1 of LIC and not 6.1.1.
