When using the defaults in Client Access (iSeries Access, System i
Access, etc.), when the window is maximized on a widescreen monitor, the
text remains centered with blank space around the margins. I have been
playing with the font settings, etc. to try and find a way to allow the
text to be 'maximized' with the window for a more natural look, but I'm
not having much luck.

I have a user that is adamant that it be this way. Has anyone else been
able to figure this out?

I feel your pain, here is what I did:

User is running latest Client Access on Win7

User has a pair of drug-store reading glasses
and needs all the help she can get.

Changed CA to use the largest 3270 fixed font.

From Win7 Control Panel
Display
Change display settings

Changed Resolution from (recommended) 1680 x 1050
to 1280 x 800

This reduced the space around text, and was an acceptable
compromise for her.
