Described only as "same size" and "similar data", the scenario is
somewhat nebulous. Comparing numeric and character is difficult for
example, unless all data can be assured to be validly cast to numeric;
the example given shows that all are numeric[-like], but can that be
assumed? If the data type is always character but values may match
while being "similar", then is the alignment of the data relevant [e.g.
does ' 202' equal '202 '?] and for a character string effectively
representing a numeric value might '202.0' equal '202'?
FWiW the actual CREATE TABLE and clarification if the sample data
might include anything other than digits [plus leading sign, and decimal
separator; optionally leading or trailing blanks], if any are
non-numeric fields. Without greater clarification, responses easily
could be based on false assumptions that will fail when applied to the
actual scenario.
