My first attempt was RTVCFGSRC. Information is there. A query can
isolate the two lines in the file.

Question: Is there a way to prepare a report using SQL that has
these two fields, or perhaps others, on a single line? <<SNIP>>

While there are various means to effect that solely via the SQL
[combining multiple rows\lines of data into one row], that probably is
not very desirable since the primary processing for any solution would
be easiest and most succinct when obtained via arrival sequence [RLA]
processing. And while the "two lines" of interest may seem easily
enough isolated by selection on the parameter names, consider that the
complete data for some parameters might span lines, thus further
complicating the selection of the rows required to include the full
parameter specification.

The API is far more preferable to attempting to parse the retrieved source. Also, one of the simpler APIs to use. It has been mentioned here before in reference to the IP address. That, I remembered. Not the API itself. Possibly a Google search would have worked.

I have, in years past, used the retrived source method, and it worked. Might have been "lucky". In retrospect, parsing the source is more involved than using the API.

If a command was already in existence, using the API would be reinventing the wheel. Wasn't sure if I had overlooked an existing command.

Thanks Luis and Chuck.
