RE: cpf8916 on selective devices - not solved - Answers to questions.

Try TELNET instead of STRPASTHR? :-)

I did a DSPMSGD on CPF8916. And, briefly, looked through the archives.

If I do a DSPDEVD on my local session I see stuff like:
Device class . . . . . . . . . . . : *VRT
Device type . . . . . . . . . . . : 3477
Device model . . . . . . . . . . . : FC
Do you have that type/model on the remote system? Is it available?

I also noticed this in the message description:
Display the job log for job &5/&4/&3 at the target system
Have you checked such joblog on the remote system?
