Got the blank screen.
Rather than a JetDirect box, this one has a StarTech.com Wired Print Server
(PM115P) which, I think, is similar in function to a JD box - but don't
quote me.
I'm checking out the PM115P manual now.
We only have three [3] PC printers here and only one is connected to the
System i and that is through 5250 emulation (it's direct attached to a PC).
What's weird (to me, anyway) is that anyone can print a System i
report/document to this printer, including me. But no one but the PC to
which it is attached can print a PC document to it even though it is shared.
But that's another issue.

Have you tried a telnet to the printer port 9100 from your PC? From a
command prompt (DOS prompt) type:
telnet 10.1.10.199 9100
What happens? If the printer is accepting connections, it'll connect,
but you'll get a blank screen. If not, you should get an error message
telling you it can't connect. That would give you a clue that port 9100
(the JetDirect/PJL/Raw printer port) is not available. If that's the
case, you'll want to turn on jetDirect port 9100 in the printer config
(if possible) or use a different printing protocol.
If it does connect, then something is wrong in your IBM i devd. Or
perhaps in the network itself.
Bit by bit, try testing each portion until you determine where the
problem is.
