Our System is at V5R1. I recently upgraded my copy of Client Access fromdo
V5R4 to V7R1. My PC is XP Pro Service Pack 3.
PC5250 Communications is working, but most function of System i Navigator
not. For some functions I am getting "An unexpected error occurred.Check
the System i Access java trace log for additional information. Generalsomething
Security error." For others the error varies but, in general, is
along the lines of "Unable to retrieve list of printers from system DTO.I
General Security error."
Even some of the functions that do not throw an error do not seem to work.
For example, Work Management's Memory Pools bring up empty lists, as does
the Active Jobs.
I started Diagnostic Tools, but the IBM i Access for Windows.Service.Trace
Files are empty. The History Log is empty.
Is System i Navigator not compatible with V5R1, or is there something else
need to do? I verified the connection.
