I'm reading the V5R4 LPAR book now, but as a point of idle curiosity,
what are the chances that a vanilla POWER6 520 without an HMC can be
partitioned to get a free (zero cost) Linux LPAR? Or, dream of dreams,
a test IBM i partition (no dev tools at all)? I'm lead to believe that
this class of machine requires a hardware guru to configure properly for
LPAR.

The impetus behind this is the thought of running Crystal Reports web
server on Linux. I realise that I know virtually (heh heh) nothing
about virtualisation on IBM Power and it seems quite intricate at first
blush.
