Trying to install the RPM package manager by following the instructions on
the youngiprofessionals.com web site. After following instructions, RPM
could not be found until I created a symbolic like in /QOpenSys/usr/bin,
even though it was clearly in /usr/bin, which is in my $PATH. Having same
issue after I installing wget with the provided RPM. It will be a pain if I
have to keep creating a symbolic link everytime I install an RPM. I am
wondering why shell seems to always look to /QOpenSys/usr/bin? Maybe this
is me just not understanding how the Unix/AIX $PATH works.
Here is my $PATH. I modify it with a .profile file to add PHP paths. By
the say, all of this is being ran from a PASE (QP2TERM) prompt.
/usr/local/zendsvr/bin:/usr/local/zendsvr/share/ZendFramework/bin:/QOpenSys/usr/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:/QOpenSys/usr/bin/X11:/usr/sbin:.:/usr/bin
