As an alternative, how about using QNTC?

Scan to network folder \\servername\sharename, then have the ERP software
use \\QNTC\servername\sharename to refer to it.

Would that work?

We need to be able to scan directly into a directory on the IFS from either
a scanner or a copier that has scanner capabilities.

We have set up a shared directory on the IFS where *PUBLIC has read/write
authority. Our copier can scan to network folders with no issue, however we
are unable to scan to a folder set up in the IFS. In the copier settings we
even entered a user id/password for the iSeries. Unfortunately, our
version of our ERP software the document needs to reside in the IFS. We are
going to be attaching this document to a customer record for future
retrieval as needed.

Does anyone have any suggestions in order to scan directly into an IFS
directly?

Thank you
