Fairly trivial. Copying and pasting from the successful creation in STRSQL:

===> create function StateCust(i_state char(2)) returns

customer_city char(20)) language sql deterministic not fenced no
external action disallow parallel cardinality 10 return select
cunmbr, cuname, cucity from aquestview/viewcus where custat = i_state
