What happens when you use WRKLNK '/QOPT' and drill down? Do you see any
kind of structure?
How was the DVD made? Did they actually save directly to the DVD or maybe
used a Virtual Tape Image and then just put it on a DVD?

I have an issue where I'm trying to restore data from another System i
that was saved onto DVD.

The file from the DVD was made available for me to download to my PC.

Now, it seems that to restore it, I'll need to use a virual device,
but I'm running into issues with this.

Here's what I did..

1. Created an image catalog
2. Uploaded the file to my AS/400 into the directory of the image catalog
3. Added the image catalog entry using the file uploaded in step 2
4. Loaded the image catalog onto a virtual device.

I tried the verify image catalog and I get "catalog verified."

When I use DSPOPT to view the info on the mounted catalog I get:

Now, this is where I get stuck. I try to use the DSPOPT with the
*SAVRST option and then it asks me for a PATH on the command.. I get
an error saying it doesn't recognize the volume type. I'm sort of
lost here. :)
