Once again, I'm in DST.

I've pulled one of the drives of the #2 mirrored pair, and replaced it (adjusting the jumper settings) with one of the non-reporting drives.

As I said to Larry:

I'm now seeing, in "packaging hardware resources," a 6607 with the correct serial number, in device position 1.

It also appears at the bottom of "display disk hardware status." But not with a unit number. And it's also still showing up there (with the correct unit number) as a missing drive.

Am I in a position where I can finally do something?
