The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Keep in mind that you can order V7R1 ptf's on a V6R1 machine. So you
could order the save file now and load it and apply it after you load 7.1
Another option I commonly do is (and some of the steps you've already
done):
Load V7R1 image catalogs, ensuring I have the latest refresh.
ftp down the latest cume and load it into an image catalog
ftp down ALL group ptfs (whether I use that group or not) and load them
into an image catalog.
Shoot through all topics of interest at
http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/recommendedfixes
and record them into an excel spread sheet. Add SI42712 to that
spreadsheet. Sort the spreadsheet and remove duplicates. copy that into
notepad and add the commas in between. Paste that into "individual ptf's"
at
Fix Central, ftp all them down into yet another image catalog.
So I may have the following image catalogs: V7, CUME, GROUP, MISC
Nothing stopping you from having just one and loading just the individual
catalog entries as needed. I just like to keep it simple for people who
assist me with ptf's.
SI42712 sounds rather special. I would try loading that on before I even
load the cume. Haven't tried that though.
