subject: Re: Is V7R1 catching on?

End of Marketing for V5R4 is in May. But who does that affect? Those
buying V5R4 new to put on old hardware? Those who want to upgrade from
V5R3 or V5R2 to V5R4 as an intermediate to a further upgrade? Those who
want to upgrade to V5R4 as a last hurrah for their old hardware? That's
about it.
End of support has not been announced yet and IBM guarantees a year's
notice on that.
