For the archive...

I opened a PMR with IBM and they couldn't determine why it was happening. Their belief was that the SP installation had somehow gotten corrupted. They had me:

1. Completely uninstall Series i Access
2. Manually delete the leftover subdirectories
3. Reboot
4. Kill every imaginable Windows process (except life support)
5. Install Series i Access
6. Reboot
7. Run that way for a while to see if it was functional without the SP
8. Reboot
9. Kill every imaginable Windows process (except life support)
10. Install the SP
11. Reboot

For good or bad, it is now fully functional.

In case I didn't mention it, I'm running Series i Access v6r1m0 on Windows Vista. Our model 525 is on V6R1.
