I have a Dual Core 3GHz AMD with 8GB memory, over 200GB free disk running
Windows 7 64bit Pro. and can't get a clean install of IBM i Access 7.1 and
most of the time it corrupts other apps like OFFICE 2007.

Doing a standard upgrade from 6.1 or a clean install after removing 6.1 I
get a message that a Reboot is needed first. Many trys later and several
uses Restore Points I'm on 6.1. I have also on my machine a Virtual Machine
( VMware Player ) with WP Pro with SP3 ) and True Windows Virtual Machine
running Whatever version of XP MS installs. In both cases I'm up to date on
fixes on all 3 copies of the OS. All 3 get the same error. But if I install
6.1 it goes on cleanly.

IBM has workaround at
http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.NSF/DocNumber/582442908 . It does get
past the error. but cause more problems and I need to use the Restore Point
to get things back to normal and at times reinstall Office 2007.

Anyone else seen this? At this rate I'm going to wait for 8.x!
