Experiment:
1: Disk labeled DVD-R in a drive labeled DVD-RW. OPT01 shows up as
6331 on DSPDEVD.
INZOPT results in:
05 - Volume 101216162057 is recordable media. Recordable media can
only be written using the Duplicate Optical (DUPOPT) CL command. *CD-R,
*CD-RW, *DVD-R, *DVD+R, *DVD-RW and *DVD+RW are examples of recordable
media.
So you would have to save that to "virtual optical" and then do a
DUPOPT.
Read more of DSPMSGD OPT1350 for more details.
2: Disk labeled DVD-R in a drive labeled DVD-ROM. OPT01 shows up as
6337-003 on DSPDEVD.
INZOPT aborts with OPT1486
3: Disk labeled CD-R in a drive labeled DVD-RW. Same as #1.
Couldn't find any RW media around, but I'm in a hurry.
