I would be sure to look for a trusted brand, such as Avery, and specifically look for labels for laser printers. They are made to withstand the heat of the fusing process without separating from the paper.

As far as printers go, the safest option is one that prints to the "top" of the paper, as it sits in the feed tray, and feeds it out "face-down" in the output tray (think of a side-ways 'U'). That way the adhesive wouldn't be under stress by curling the paper away from the labels.

Hi,

We're printing a lot of stickers using Adhesive labels.

One of our maintenance procedures is to print anything on a regular paper
(up to 5 pages) right after printing the labels to clean the rollers of any
adhesive residue (while the adhesive is still hot).

If you are printing hundred pages at a time, you can do it maybe after
printing 50 to 100 pages of adhesive labels.

Subject: Laser Printing of Adhesive Labels

Need to print 8.5x11 sheets on Adhesive label stock. It's mostly a
single sheet with a die cut peelable label. I've heard that the heat
from a laser printer can loosen the glue with increased potential for jams.

We're looking for a laser printer with a straight through paper path
which should minimize the chance of the label section coming off. I'm
also wondering if anyone has any experience with adhesive stock that
isn't impacted by the laser heat. Right now we're not talking huge
volume, maybe 300-400 sheets a day.

If anyone has any recommendations in this area, printer or paper I'd
appreciate your experience.

Thanks
