I meant pretty much what I said.

Net.data was discontinued some time ago on all platforms except IBM i. There was nothing to replace it on the i which is probably the only reason it wasn't dropped completely. I suspect that if PHP had been around then, as it is now, IBM would have dropped it completely.

It isn't being enhanced and isn't likely to be so. In other words it is dead technology. I would not use it for new code just as I would not design new programs and applications to run in the S/36 environment.
