We are currently on V5R4, and I am contemplating ordering the 7.1 upgrade next month for possible installation next year.  I know a release (6.1 in this case) can be skipped, and that I need to read both releases "Memo to Users".  I have already run the ANZOBJCVN command, and everything looks kosher.  I have downloaded the "Installing, updating or deleting IBM i" manual (SC41-5120-11) manual.

Just wondered if:

a)       There were any other preliminary documents, manuals, or such that I forgot before I started planning the upgrade, and

b)       Anyone out there had the 7.1 install skipping 6.1 and had any experiences from which I could learn?

Thanks.
