The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I always guessed that "Integrity problem" was a euphemism for a

Today, a number of PTFs I downloaded say "Internal maintenance"
Does anyone know if that's a euphemism and what it means?
Since every APAR and PTF requires _some_ text, various snippets
of text might be utilized by the developer of the fix merely to
satisfy that text requirement; even if, with the possibly of little
or no meaning to anyone else. Often several PTFs will be required
to provide a complete fix [by co-requisite and pre-requisite PTFs],
but without combining disjoint or large amounts of code into one PTF
which complicates providing a PTF specific to code change in just
one program. Repeating the full corrective, enhancement, or
preventive descriptive text in each PTF adds little value, and may
be considered deceptive since the individual PTF might have no
noticeable nor intended effect, [even] if that PTF could be applied
alone.
The SQL database team has often used the term "internal
maintenance" to describe base [pre-requisite and co-requisite]
changes that are provided for upcoming [or concurrently with] the
deliver of new functions via PTFs. All PTFs except one "umbrella"
PTF would note only "internal maintenance", and the umbrella PTF
would both describe the intended effect after applying the fix and
include the necessary order\apply requisites.
